About BeautyBoiz

BeautyBoiz is a PNW-based queer artist collective that creates captivating live events and compelling media for the LGBTQ+ community.

As a nonprofit company, we elevate voices overlooked in the media, emphasizing inclusivity and equitable opportunities for QTBIPOC artists. Our portfolio includes extravagant live events, music videos, editorial photo shoots, and more.

BeautyBoiz fosters a welcoming space for individuals across the LGBTQIA+ and QTBIPOC spectrum. We give back to our community by hiring and compensating local queer artists, ensuring accessible tickets for those in need.

Through event and media production skills training, we empower collective members to share their own stories authentically.

We are committed to shifting the media paradigm towards radical inclusion and celebrating those traditionally marginalized in mainstream gay culture.

By highlighting emerging queer artists, we provide free and subsidized media support, including filming and production assistance.

Join us on this journey as we build a vibrant community, celebrate true diversity, and make a lasting impact through the power of art and storytelling.

Together, we are rewriting the narrative and shaping a more inclusive and equitable future for all.

Our History

BeautyBoiz began as an idea among friends for an apartment Halloween party in 2015. The overwhelming response prompted the move to a larger venue at Fred Wildlife Refuge, marking the official birth of the BeautyBoiz brand. Since then, BeautyBoiz has expanded its reach, including an expansion to Portland in 2020 with Drag on Demand, a project led by Henry Felton

Under the leadership of Bri Patin (Director, Producer) and Matthew Guenther (Artistic Director), BeautyBoiz launched Black Pride Celebration, a groundbreaking digital media project that aims to uplift and empower Queer Black musicians by providing them with a transformative experience. As part of the project, BeautyBoiz collaborates with each artist to create two unique music videos for the artists original music. Additionally, these talented musicians are offered the opportunity to perform on the main stages of massive Seattle and Portland Pride events, captivating crowds with their incredible talents. The Birth of Black Pride Celebration not only showcases the immense talent within the Queer Black community but also celebrates their pride and resilience in a grand and impactful way.

Mona Real approached BeautyBoiz with a spectacular idea in 2022 and so began the creation of Fruit Bowl, a Queer Fashion competition that has invested over $40,000 into the local Seattle artist community. Fruit Bowl celebrates and supports emerging LGBTQ+ fashion designers, providing them with a platform to showcase their talent and creativity.

BeautyBoiz has collaborated with LA Kendall LaBree of Kendall's DJ & Event to contribute to Seattle Pridefest's Fountain Stage and the Portland Waterfront Pride Festival, spreading their vibrant energy and inclusive spirit to even larger audiences.

Throughout their journey, BeautyBoiz has remained true to their founding principles of inclusion and disruption. Their events, such as BeautyBoiz go BOO, QUEER AF, BeautyBoiz wear Masks, and REVIVAL, offer unique entertainment rooted in LGBTQ/BIPOC artistry and collaboration. These events have become a beacon of queer beauty, love, and celebration, providing a safe space where everyone can feel embraced.

BeautyBoiz has also collaborated with a plethora of esteemed artists, working on editorial photo/video shoots with Arson Nicki, LüChi, Kennedy Colby, Waxie Moon, Cookie Couture, CarLarans, Mona Real, Betty Wetter, Monday Mourning, and many more.

From their humble beginnings to an ever-evolving collective, BeautyBoiz continues to celebrate and showcase the diverse beauty and love within the queer community while disrupting the status quo with their inclusive events and projects. They have worked on music video projects for artists like CarLarans, Michete, Big Burr, Alexis Mateo, and Yves, capturing their unique essence.

The collective's commitment to amplifying marginalized voices and uplifting queer artists is unwavering, leaving an indelible mark on Seattle's artistic scene and beyond.
